About the Role
The M&E specialist will support the efficient and effective data management function under the Fleming Project Fund.
They will assist in setting up and institutionalization of data management activities (including data security), review of MERL plan to ensure that required data management activities are included in the workplan, supporting sites to implement activities that will support overall data management function (as may be necessary), implement data quality assurance for data entered into the system, update/review/develop materials/tools to strengthen/implement data management, providing support to institutional and human capacity building for data management at all levels as may be necessary, develop/adapt reporting templates, manage the overall project data management systems to support reporting.
This includes making input in design of data collection and data management tools, ensuring compliance to data quality standards before data collection and analysis is done, documenting lessons learned, supporting/promotion of data use and ensuring the production of reports that are timely, accurate, and comprehensive. Providing input in all data processes, including interoperability activities, data retention, etc.
This list is not exhaustive, M&E Specialist will be expected to carry out other duties as assigned to achieve the outcomes desired by our client and needed by the people the project aims to serve.

Specific requirements for this role would be:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Demography, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or related field.
Experience:
Bachelor's and 4-6 years of experience, or Master-s and 2-4 years of experience, or Doctorate and 0-2 years of experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
Good analytical, presentation and reporting skills
Good experience in health data management activities
Knowledge and experience in training and capacity building
Excellent inter-personal, multi-cultural and team building skills
Strong computer skills particularly in spreadsheets, data security, data visualization (maps, graphs, charts, etc) database (i.e. MS Power BI, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, Stata, R) and other statistical applications
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action
Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English
Excellent organizational skills
Previous work with stakeholders (NCDC, FMOH MLSD, FMOH DFDS, NAFDAC, FMoEnv, Fed Min of Agric & Rural Devpt, NIMR, PCN, etc) is an added advantage
Competencies:

Decision Making: Working within project strategy and policy guidelines, makes decisions with regards to work responsibilities and is accountable for them

Purpose of the Position
The Secretary will assume the duty of clerical and administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in the office.
S/he will assist colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.
S/he will be the point of reference for all queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the company’s workforce.
What You'll Do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
Work with the National Incident Manager by answering phone calls and redirect them when necessary
Manage the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and arrange new meetings and appointments
Helping prepare for meetings and managing databases
Prepare and disseminate correspondence, memos, and forms
File and update the contact information of employees, customers, suppliers and external partners
Support and facilitate the completion of regular reports
Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments
Implementing new procedures and administrative systems
Liaising with relevant organizations and clients
Coordinating mail-shots and similar publicity tasks
Develop and maintain a filing system
Check frequently the levels of office supplies and place appropriate orders
Make travel arrangements for the National IM when the need arises.
Document expenses reports by performing basic bookkeeping tasks.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

Who You Are
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Secretarial Studies, and Administration or any related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years Secretarial experience within the Public Health Sector, NGO, multinational, Blue chip industry.
Expert use of technology; Google Suites, MS Office suites, printers, scanners, photocopiers,
Professional certification as an administrative professional IAAP certification
Proven work experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques
High degree of multitasking and time management capability
Excellent presentation, written and verbal Interpersonal communication skills
Must possess a high level of integrity, Professionalism, and responsibility.
