As a Veterinary Officer, you manage our Military Working Animals' capability and lead soldiers under your command.
You deal with animal health issues - the kind you’d find in civilian practice - but also veterinary challenges that only the Army can offer. You advise on disease controls and biosecurity, too.
You can boost your qualifications by getting the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.
Develop your expertise and you can move up as a clinician or a commander. All this, plus travel, sports and Adventurous Training, too.
The Royal Army Veterinary Corps (RAVC) provides the service lead in the development of good animal husbandry, training practice, preventive medicine and care for Military Working Animals (MWAs).

Qualifications:
Veterinary Degree and Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
Age:
From 17 years & 9 months to 36 years & 11 months.
Basic physical fitness assessment:
Mid Thigh Pull 50kg
Medicine Ball Throw 2.7m
MSFT (beep test) level 4.2.
Pay & Benefits
Your salary will increase to Salary: 50,540 Pounds Annually once you have finished training and joined your unit.
Student bursary (up to £60,000):
Open to candidates who will graduate with an Army endorsed veterinary degree and intend to join the Royal Army Veterinary Corps as a Vet for at least 4 years
Paid in annual instalments of £5,000 during your final three years of university then a lump sum of £45,000 on successful completion of Officer training
You may also be paid an Army salary or a lump sum of £5,000 during each of two years of professional development.

Description
You will be trained to manage, maintain, configure and deploy a wide range of Information, Communications and Technology systems, ensuring that frontline troops and commanders can communicate on operations worldwide whilst understanding the cyber threats our networks face.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer, maintain and repair a range of communications equipment
Install, service and repair telecommunications data cable networks, data centres, configure switches, routers, servers and LAN access equipment
Get continuous personal and professional development including civilian accredited transferable qualifications
Learn to drive and operate military vehicles ranging from Land Rovers and HGVs to fully armoured fighting vehicles
Operate as a Royal Signals soldier conducting military tasks wherever UK Armed Forces are deployed
Learn to instruct and pass on your expert skills and knowledge.
Entry Requirements
Age: From 16 years & 6 months to 35 years & 11 months
Qualifications:
GCSE grade 4/C, Scottish National 5 grade C, or above in Maths or ICT, and
GCSE level 3/D, Scottish National 4, or above in English, or RQF level 2 equivalents.
Security Clearance Required:
CTC
(SC at Ph 1)

Pay & Benefits
You'll earn £25,200 a year from the start of your training, which will go up as you progress throughout your career.
