We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Facility Manager
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring optimal functionality and guest satisfaction.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all facilities and equipment.
Coordinate and supervise repair and maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee the quality of work performed by external contractors.
Monitor and manage facility budgets, including forecasting and controlling expenses.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
Respond to and resolve facility-related issues and emergencies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the facility supports operational needs and enhances guest experiences.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
Certification in facilities management or related areas (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, Building Operator Certification) is a plus.
