The Zireenza Support Foundation (ZSF) is a National Non-Governmental Organization (Not for profit and non-socio-political organization). It has been established on 08thAugust, 2017 by the General Meeting at Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, attended by many people and elite persons from different areas including Mubi and Michika Local Government. This National NGO was formed according to the willingness of the community people in a view to deal with the present socio-economic problems in different villages by means of good understanding and sharing the problems of each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making and get-together under an umbrella of ZSF Organization.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Community Volunteer Teacher (CVT)
Locations: Mubi North (Wuro Harde), Mubi South (Munduva), Michika (Bidi, Kubrushosho) and Madagali (Hashi) LGAs - Adamawa
Description
The community volunteer teacher will provide support to the education officer of ZSFacross project locations in implementing the project using a design education SOP to improve the quality of teaching and learning, and good classroom management.
The teacher will also collect students’ attendance, and provide support in identifying children who show stress patterns or in need of psychosocial support and refer them to an appropriate team where necessary.
General Duties / Responsibilities
Teach the learners at least 5 times a week in the NFLC.
Support and guide the learners to comprehend the subject study.
Keep records of pupils’ performance
Prepare weekly lesson plans and delivery plans as per the curriculum.
Support to identify and enroll the target children within the community for the program.
Support in back-to-school campaign/ community awareness-raising activity in the community.
Support mobilization of communities, and work closely with relevant community education structures.
Give the children classwork and other exercise that will guide them understand the subject.
Ensure that all documents for children are kept up-to-date, accurate, and secure; and ensure that information is compiled as needed on an accurate and timely basis to assess progress against activities and outcomes for each class.
Data compilation and reporting of learners.
Ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere within the Temporary Learning Spaces.
Ensure the inclusion of all children regardless of gender and ability in all learning activities.
Ensure teaching and learning resources are used properly, inventory taken, and safely stored daily.
Where necessary and in consultation with the Education Project Officer participate in LGA level coordination meeting.
Maintain positive coordination and relationships with other partners in the field at all times.
Ensure the principle of safety and confidentiality of beneficiaries’ data.
Conduct additional tasks as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications / Experience
Have a minimum qualification of NCE, OND, (B.Sc in Edu is added advantage)
Persons must be over the age of 18 years.
Minimum qualification of NCE/ OND, SSCE (With proven experience)
Diploma qualification from a recognized college of Education or related field
Capable of working under line management of Education Officer.
Committed to ZSF’s Protection and Safeguarding policies.
Prior experience in teaching.
Good understanding of the humanitarian context in Nigeria.
Must be a local resident of the community for which you have applied.
