Job Purpose
Supports the development, improvements and deployment of Quality Management systems and tools. Implements employees' trainings.
Job Description
Responsible for ensuring product quality for the product line.
Identifying problems and providing solutions.
Interfaces and coordinates with Product Engineering, Project/Product Management, and Customer for resolution of quality issues.
Quality Team Member whose responsibilities include recommendations for supplier audits, training, status changes, additions, removals, corrective actions, review of supplier performance evaluations.
Interface and coordinate with Engineering and Welding Engineering for Supplier Material and Welding Qualifications requirements.
Perform root cause analysis and correction for repetitive supplier problems.
Involve in handling Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s). Investigates problems with processes or system procedures, evaluates root cause, recommends corrective action and follows-up to ensure that action was effective.
Performs and may lead internal and external audits of Quality Systems.
Interface with functions on Quality related issues and training.
Develops statistical sampling plans to inspect supplier parts at the receiving inspection.
Receives direction from manager to set broad objectives.
Requirements
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
8-10 years’ experience in Quality Assurance field with experience in supplier or procurement quality or engineering field.
Black Belt, and/or six sigma certification preferred.
ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering is preferred.
Strong statistical data analysis and sampling plans skills.
Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
Root Cause and Corrective Action and FMEA experience is preferred.
Knowledge of inspection tools, measurement and calibration system.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 (International Standard Organization) / API Q1 (American Petroleum Institute equivalent)
Interpretation of Customer requirement.
