We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lifting and Rigging Engineer
Location: Bonny Island, Rivers

Responsibilities
Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure the lifting team is aware of lifting best practices; proactively assist the Client and AOSO whenever necessary to improve and maintain HSE performance.
In-depth capacity to generate a lifting plan that has comprehensive engineering analysis, rigging design consideration, and requisite loading and crane schematics in line with best practices.
Provide engineering and technical support to the AOSO lifting team to ensure that all rigging activities performed by AOSO are in accordance with required codes and specifications.
Generate lifting plans ranging from Simple, Complicated, Critical, Tandem, and Complex lifting plans prior to submittal to PMS Rigging SMEs for review and onward progression for Client approval.
Support to deliver in-house training when the need arises. This may take the form of formal or informal courses delivered by the company.
Support AOSO to review and assess the competency of the lifting and rigging personnel involved in the shutdown activities to ensure availability, adequacy, and validity of the required level of expertise to perform the assigned tasks including training and qualifications test.
Supervise the rigging team field activities, especially for critical lifts per assigned roles and responsibilities in line with AOSO and NLNG policies and procedures.
Carry out systematic review and assessment during the execution phase to oversee compliance and to identify last-minute job vicinity risks.
Assist the field execution personnel (supervisors, riggers) in the analysis and assessment of risk-related activities and provide required technical expertise as and when necessary.
Monitor and assist (as required), in bridging the competence gaps of AOSO rigging personnel involved in the rigging & lifting process.
Capable of utilizing the established Management of Change (MOC) and Site Technical Query (STQ) procedures for addressing lifting operational changes/issues in the field.
Review Maintenance schedules/plans to ensure they include all required prerequisites such as lifting plans, realistic timelines, logical sequencing, and adequate resources.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess as follows:
Must possess a B.Sc / B.Tech or HND. in Mechanical or any other related engineering discipline with extensive experience in lifting and rigging engineering design, loading, and structural analysis.
Minimum of 15 years work experience as a Lifting Engineer/Specialist, 7 years minimum within the Oil and Gas industry for maintenance and/or construction operation.
He or she must have a good interpersonal skill, be self-sufficient and adaptable, confident in site work situations, and can work under pressure.
Working knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, STAAD PRO, etc.
Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Committed to workplace safety and continue improvement.
Lifting and Rigging Competency Certificate e.g. LOLER, LEEA, CIS Competent person, etc. will be an added advantage.

Job Description
Supervision and implementation of the company’s regional security plan.
Serve as the loss prevention manager for the region.
Lead engagement and interaction with Government Security Forces (GSF) at the regional level, ensuring actions from GSF that could affect business operations are timely managed.
Directly oversees the management of security guards at IHS regional office, warehouses, tank farms and guest houses within the region.
Maintain integrity of the access control systems to include, but not limited to: CCTV, ID systems, ID cards, etc.
Implement processes and procedures to improve access management on sites in the region for all categories of customers and stakeholders.
Supervise and manage Specialist, Security & Community Intervention on all field operational processes and procedures.
Compile crime reports from states in the region for the assessment of company security risk and proactively proffer possible mitigations strategies for the safety of all teams in the region.
Liaise regularly and hold monthly or weekly regional meetings with functions across the business to resolve site access issues in any site within the region.
Provide meaningful recommendations to HQ on the integration of current operational and investigation best practices to ensure a solid and robust security framework for the department.
Respond to community letters and ensure proper representation of regional security team at Community Development Area (CDA)/ Estate meetings.
Ensure all compensation requests are investigated and closed on time in line with company-approved policy/ guidelines.
Set up awareness campaign to enlighten communities about IHS policies, processes, and procedures that affect community demands/ expectations.
Conduct regular security awareness training for staff, contractors, and visitors.
Collate all community agitations and responses reported by team members and share with HQ on a weekly basis and advise on corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions where appropriate.
Track all escalated issues community demands, payments made, and issues resolved.
Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Senior Manager, Security Operations on all matters pertaining to security operations and community Interventions in the region.
Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Manager Security Operations.
Ensure compliance with Voluntary Principles of Human Rights by GSF deployed to support IHS operations
Qualifications
HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
+5 years’ relevant work experience.
