Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to health facilities to ensure provision and documentation of post-gender-based violence care in line with the PEPFAR/WHO minimum package
Facilitate “needs based” capacity building activities for gender champions both at facility and community levels on gender integration including first line support and the implementation of clinical pathway for treatment of sexual assault survivors
Work with health facilities and CBOs to establish and strengthen referral mechanism and linkages between clinical and non-clinical post GBV care service provision;
Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of GBV data and program performance, sharing reports on progress on a monthly basis.
Provide regular supportive supervision to supported health facilities/CBOs to ensure the achievement of expected results;
Coordinate activities to commemorate international days (such as orange the world, international women’s day etc.) as a platform to provide GBV sensitization and support gender equality
Document successes and lessons learnt that highlight the Project’s gender integration/equality programming.
Qualifications and experience
University degree (or higher) in Social Sciences (i.e. Sociology, Psychology), Public Health, Child Health, International Development, or in an area relevant to Gender, Health, and HIV/AIDs At least 2 years’ post NYSC work experience including at least 2 years implementing gender-based interventions in a similar setting
Experience in implementing gender services in the context of HIV and knowledge of CDC minimum package of services for gender-based violence survivors
Demonstrated ability to ensure gender integration in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Evidence of capacity to support implementation of gender norms re-orientation and links with HIV/ AIDS
Excellent conceptual, analytical, writing and oral communication and facilitation skills
Team playing qualities/experience
Sensitivity to cultures and social systems, and genuine interest in capacity building responses to development issues.
Ability to navigate culturally sensitive terrain and maintain constructive relationships with a diverse set of key stakeholders.

Support the collation of routine programmatic reports (state monthly technical reports, sub-programmatic reports, weekly state updates etc.) on SharePoint locations
Assist with seeking approvals for program memos
Assist in organizing and documenting stakeholder meetings
Support monitoring of approved requests using the memo tracker
Coordinate the archiving of routine program reports on dedicated electronic locations
Support the review and processing of direct support funding of health facilities implementing comprehensive HIV and PMTCT interventions across the states
Support the review and processing of the State operational floats
Collate & archive reports of weekly State coordination meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Nursing required. Master’s in relevant field preferred.
At least 1 year post-NYSC.
Skilled in the use of MS Office suite.
Willing to learn.

Contribute to the development, review and publication of success stories, documentaries, bulletins, fliers, posters, leaflets, and other health informational material on all media (print and electronic), working closely with other members of the technical and programmatic teams across different projects.
Support the timely development and implementation of Social, behavior and Health communication strategies and promotion of positive behavioral change.
Ensure the formulation of locally appropriate IEC/BCC strategies using a mix of effective communication channels, based on national standards.
Support senior leadership with talking points and other materials for high-level meetings with policymakers, partners, and funders as needed
Assist in organizing and generating public support for special events and campaigns.
Develop and archive communication materials, including digital, such as publications, press releases and clippings, photographs, audio-visual materials, web resources
Provide support for the collation and review of monthly program reports across all thematic areas.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, International Development, Public Health, Public Policy or other relevant field required. A health-related degree will be added advantage.
2 - 3 years post NYSC experience in implementing and managing public relations, branding/marketing communication or advocacy projects or campaigns in developing countries.
Previous Ngo or INGO experience will be beneficial.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art public relations, marketing, social and behavior change communication models and strategies and their practical application.
Excellent command of English and preferably have experience in drafting documents such as proposals, reports, project plans and memos (additional language skills are an asset)
Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and build rapport with a variety of audience.
High level computer skills.
Competence in use of Microsoft Office suite and remote conferencing software.
