Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Summary
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing program implementation, monitoring, and reporting on interventions carried out by ECEWS within the project.
H/She will provide technical and management leadership for the delivery of integrated HIV prevention, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents and young people at the community level, ensuring adherence to project strategies and documenting any necessary adaptations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that technical strategies, guidance documents, and SOPs are developed and implemented in accordance with ECEWS standards and Nigerian regulations.
Participate in the development of work plans and budgets, ensure adequate technical assistance for program operations, coordinate partner efforts in program implementation, and ensure proper program monitoring and accurate financial and programmatic reporting.
Provide programmatic and technical assistance to CBOs in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and execute a capacity development plan for effective program planning, implementation and monitoring.
Provide supervision for ECEWS staff, ensuring compliance with technical, programmatic, contractual, and financial requirements set by ECEWS and donors.
Collaborate with stakeholders supporting HIV, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health services, and other programs targeting adolescents and young people.
Serve as the ECEWS point of contact with government officials, coordinating and collaborating with public sector and NGO partners at the state level.
Provide technical assistance in reviewing or drafting implementation protocols, scientific papers, and program reports to ensure they are evidence-based, accurate, and aligned with best practices.
Oversee the activities of the CBOs engaged on the project, include periodic review of programmatic and financial reports from CBOs
Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites as needed.
Ensure effective management of all ECEWS assets and resources.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Recruitment Standard
MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 5-7 years public health experience including at least 3 years’ experience in program for Adolescent and Young persons in developing country settings.
MS/MA in Social Science, Public Health or related field, MPH preferred, with 5-9 years public health experience including at least 3 years’ experience in program for Adolescent and Young persons in developing country settings.
Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs is required.
Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
Experience in designing and implementing of public health/international development programs funded by US government or other international donors.
Extensive knowledge of adolescent and young persons’ health and development programming in a developing country.
Demonstrated management, supervision, networking and leadership skills working with large, complex programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, administrative, and financial management systems.
Demonstrated experience in undertaking high-level policy dialogue with different stakeholders.
Knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS, Mental Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, health systems, decentralization of services and related issues.
Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.
