Job Title: Community Relations Specialist
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Permanent/Full time
Job Description
Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, residents, government representatives, and other stakeholders to foster open communication and collaboration.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the community, ensuring that information about the company’s operations, policies, and projects is effectively communicated.
Develop and implement CSR programs that align with both company objectives and community needs, such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Act as part of the crisis response team, ensuring that any incidents or emergencies involving the community are managed effectively and that communication remains clear and transparent during the crisis.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Relations, Mass Communications or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in community relations, public relations preferably within an upstream oil & gas company.
Proven experience in managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including community leaders, local government, regulatory agencies, etc.
Strong understanding of local cultures, traditions, and social dynamics within the upstream oil & gas region in Nigeria, and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with diplomacy.
Ability to plan, implement, and manage CSR projects and community engagement activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Job Description
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and communication systems.
Ensure the effective management, storage, and retrieval of company data, including the implementation of robust data management policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions, to protect the company’s data and IT assets.
Champion IT projects including system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure improvements, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Identify and implement opportunities for improving IT infrastructure and information management processes, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and security.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Possession of a Masters degree will be an added advantage.
Relevant professional certification (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CISSP, etc.) is required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management with at least 3 years in a supervisory level.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud technologies.
Experience in managing data and information systems, including database administration, data governance and data security.
Understanding of network security principles, cyber threats, and mitigation strategies, with hands-on experience in implementing security solutions.
