Job Title: Investigative Assistant

Duties
The Investigative Assistant (IA) assists in an array of sensitive and complex criminal investigations related to document fraud, human smuggling, trafficking in persons, and other criminal issues as directed by the Assistant Regional Security Officer- Investigator (ARSO-I).
The job holder provides investigative, analytical, and administrative support in the operation of the Diplomatic Security (DS) Overseas Criminal Investigations (OCI) program at post.
The job holder updates the ongoing investigations database in Department of State (DOS) computer systems, and controls access of sensitive information.
The incumbent must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
Requirements
Two (2) years of general college or university studies is required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in administrative, journalism, education, business, logistics, investigative analysis, legal, law enforcement, emergency response, analytical or research-related fields is required.
Fluent speaking/reading/writing of English is required.
Salary
USD $42,391 per year.

Strong understanding of the Department's core hierarchy and its top officials is required.
Detailed knowledge of Management and Department policies and practices (i.e., gifts, vehicle use, expediter use, procurements, overtime, allowances, ethics, etc.) is required.
Good understanding of procedures and practices at Nigerian Government Ministries especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is required.

Job Summary

Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Foreman, the incumbent performs manual supply duties in the warehouse, unloads incoming supplies, office and household furniture and equipment, moves property from the receiving area to authorized storage area, confirms storage area with receiving supervisor.
Incumbent performs housekeeping duties in the storage areas to ensure a clean and safe environment and assist in conducting inventories.
Incumbent must ensure that all job activities and duties are performed in a responsible manner to avoid the creation of safety or health hazards.
Job Requirements
Education:
Completion of Secondary School is required.
Experience:
One (1) year prior work experience in the supply/warehouse section is required.
Job Knowledge:
Must have good forklift and vehicular driving skills.
Must have good knowledge of warehouse storage and property handling practices.

Skills and Abilities:
Incumbent must be able to perform moderately heavy work and make heavy lifts of at least 20kg.

Good understanding of the host country’s roads, laws, and Embassy safety programs and rules is required.
