About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support the Managing Director of an Exploration and production company.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with strong technical and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. This role will involve a variety of tasks, from technical report preparation to project coordination and administrative support.The role is essential to ensuring the effective execution of strategic initiatives, technical project oversight, and operational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Support:
Support the MD with data analysis, technical reports, and updates on key projects.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
Assist the MD in managing and coordinating the company’s technical operations.
Gather, analyze, and present data related to production forecasts, reservoir performance, and operational efficiencies, preparing reports to aid in informed decision-making.
Monitor and report on the progress on all technical matters.
Conduct research and data analysis to support decision-making.
Summarize complex technical concepts and key performance indicators.
Circulate approved minutes
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with department heads and project teams on the execution of projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and reporting
Assist with technical documentation and compliance with industry standards.
Strategic Initiatives:
Work closely with the MD to identify and implement new business opportunities in alignment with the company's growth strategy.
Support the MD in developing and executing strategic plans related to procurement solutions, technical manpower services, and equipment provision.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the company’s strategic objectives.
Provide analytical support to the MD for decision-making regarding business development and operational efficiency.
KeyRequirements
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degreein Petroleum Engineering.
Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a similar field is an added advantage
5 - 8 years experience in a technical role, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven project management skills with an ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
