Job Title: Instrument (PACO) Engineering Maintenance Services Officer - Gbaran

Schedule: 21/21 days duty cycle (12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm)
Roles and Responsibilities
Onsite responsibility for safe supervision of technicians during work execution.
Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the Robertshaw Panel integrated control, safety instrumented, and fire & gas systems.
Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.
Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD), and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issue resolution.
Work closely with service contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
Ensure technical integrity of assets through preventive and corrective maintenance activities, quality assurance, and performance standard verification of safety-critical equipment.
Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
Maintain systems availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
Identifying critical spares and following up on ordering and delivery.
Integrate with other disciplines to achieve asset integrity on a continuous basis.
Promote site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
Work Cycle:
The work location is a land-field based (Gbaran Ubie Integrated Gas Plant) accessible via land and air.
The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to 7 pm) routine over a 21-day period.
There is a standard 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off schedule.
The successful candidate will manage their own absences with their contractor for suitable qualified covers.
There may be a need for periodic visits to Shell industrial areas for training and official assignments.
Personnel may be required to work extended hours as the need arises.
Minimum Requirements
A qualification (OND/HND/Bachelors) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Discipline.
< 45 years.
Minimum of 7 years working experience in an oil and gas facility working as an Instrumentation Technician.
Experience in any SPDC facility will be an added advantage.
Skills:
Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance.
Experience in PAS and fire protection systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in safeguarding systems maintenance.
Field instrumented pneumatic/DCS systems.
Experience in CAO/SCADA/SMAR systems.
Soft Skills:
Ability to lead a team for safe execution of tasks onsite.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Perform basic computer-related activities.
Knowledge and use of SAP tools and the permitry process.
Knowledge of worksite hazard management and permitry systems.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Communication and teamwork.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good organizational skills.
Self-motivated and performs under minimal supervision.
