Job Title: Technical Consultant - Mental Health and Psychosocial Services
Location: Abuja
Job Summary
The Technical Consultant – MHPSS will be responsible for technical support and oversight of the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of MHPSS components of the IHVN Global Fund project for key and vulnerable populations and contribute to the development of project staff and project delivery.
Essential Job Functions/ Main Duties and
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and programs related to mental health and psychosocial support.
Provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of MHPSS interventions across supported states.
Conduct training and capacity-building activities for staff, partners, and sub-recipients to enhance their understanding of MHPSS principles and practices.
Support the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the impact and effectiveness of MHPSS programs.
Ensure compliance with international standards, guidelines, and ethical principles in the delivery of MHPSS services.
Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and innovations in the field of MHPSS and incorporate them into program design and implementation.
Foster partnerships and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and mental health professionals.
Minimum Requirements and Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social work, Public health, or a related field.
Proven experience working in mental health and psychosocial support programs, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
Strong knowledge of MHPSS principles, guidelines, and best practices.
Familiarity with different psychosocial intervention approaches and counseling techniques.
Experience in program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Excellent training and facilitation skills.
